You’re cordially invited to join us on Friday 12 January, to celebrate the launch of our Who is Luis Buñuel? film journey. We’ll be delighted to host you for a solemn and conservative dinner party (no funny business). Whip out your most bourgeois outfits in tribute to the filmmaker's The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie - think massive bows, bulky earrings, two-piece suits, and your most hideously patterned ties.
We’ll be hosting a three-course dinner party in the Garden Bar, but things might not go exactly as planned... We recommend eating prior to the event, to ensure you won’t go hungry.
After dinner may or may not be served, we’ll make our way into the screen, for screenings of Un Chien Andalou (16 min) & L'Age D'Or (16 min) with Live Electronic Music Accompaniment by A’Bear. These will be followed by a screening of the highly eccentric Simon of The Desert (43 min).
Important info: No food will actually be provided during the party, besides our usual bar offerings. If you’re not familiar with The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, it may be helpful to look up the film’s synopsis prior to the event.
