Early 1960s. Capote (Toby Jones) travels to Kansas to research the cold-blooded murders of a local family. But what begins as an investigative journey with longtime friend Harper Lee (Sandra Bullock), who was soon to publish To Kill a Mockingbird, leads to something altogether darker when Capote develops an intense and complex relationship with one of the murderers (Daniel Craig).
