Blending hand painted animation and documentary, Karuara, People of the River underlines the importance of protecting the natural world and the cultures that rely on it.

The film will be followed by a Q&A with Emilsen Flores - Woman Kukama leader and Gabriel Salazar - Foro Solidaridad Peru, hosted by Vanessa Baird, former New Internationalist editor.
The film is screening as part of our Planting Seeds season, which explores issues around nature and environmental activism. This screening is in partnership with the Peru Support Group.
