LRB Screen, the London Review Bookshop’s long-running film series, has relocated to The Garden Cinema and is partnering with MUBI to present an occasional series of special screenings exploring the art of literary adaptation.

Next on the slab is Naked Lunch, David Cronenberg’s intense and visceral adaptation of William S. Burroughs’s notoriously ‘unfilmable’ novel, which also draws on Burroughs’s other fiction and episodes from his remarkable and troubling life.

Introducing the film and discussing it afterwards with host Gareth Evans, will be special guest Iain Sinclair, LRB stalwart and one of London’s greatest chroniclers, whose work has pursued the shadows of Burroughs and the Beats for decades.
